BuckSpeak Baithak

Our own Baithak 🙂

Baithak is the Hindi word for gathering. However, like quiet a few native words, we might not find an exact equivalent word for it in English. A Baithak could be around conversations or music or even stories. The one we plan to start at BuckSpeak, would be around our guests’ life journey. We hope to make it intimate, immersive, slow, often meandering, even agenda-less :-). There would be no host or interviewer.

At BuckSpeak, we believe in the beauty of uniqueness. And nothing is more unique than  our lives. Our ‘selfish’ attempt would be to eke out as many nuggets from each guest’s life journey, as possible. But to be fair, the idea is not even to have a definitive outcome from this :-). We would love to know about their childhood. What schools and colleges they went to? What were their biggest influences? What failures shaped them? Their flaws and regrets. What makes them truly happy and what pisses them off?

Why are we doing this?

Initially when I was thinking of this, it was primarily for the benefit of my younger colleagues. As a boutique investment management firm, we are blessed to have accomplished people as our clients. Believe it or not, many of them are still not very active on social media 🙂 (most of them). All of us are heavy consumers of online content. But in the world spoilt for choice, we said, let’s narrow it.

So we would have a BuckSpeak Baithak every month on a Saturday (most likely 11:00 a.m-1 p.m.), with a guest, at our office ( Our google maps link), followed by lunch :-).

It’s not going to be an event, it’s a gathering. It’s open for all, you don’t have to be a BuckSpeak client/team-member to attend. You just have to RSVP, when we announce it. In case you are interested and don’t want to depend on LinkedIn, do DM me your coordinates, our team will remember to send you the invite.
